GOOGLE IS TESTING INSTALLING APPS DIRECTLY FROM SEARCH RESULTS

shopifygoogle
Google is testing a new feature on Android that will allows users to install apps directly from its search results. This skips the step where people are redirected to the Play Store, reducing the amount of time needed to download that one app.
Google’s search results on Android already display an install button when searching for apps; however, this is mainly  a shortcut to the appropriate page in the Play Store. This new feature instead causes the usual Android permissions windows to pup up with an install button. At the moment, it appears that the feature only works from the Google app, and not Chrome.

According to Android Police, some users reported that this feature was already live since a month ago or more, but it has only recently become widely available. That being said, it is not yet available for everyone; and there is no telling when the feature will be officially announced.
