It’s true, if you are a paid member of the Entertainer, you can enjoy buy 1 free 1 set meal at Tonkatsu by Ma Maison across all their outlets in Malaysia. I actually mentioned before that Tonkatsu by Ma Maison is not really a cheap place to eat at, so that makes the use of Entertainer even more justified.
One thing we like about eating at Ma Maison is that all their main courses come in a set, perfect for wallet-conscious diners. Rice, soup and salad can be refilled indefinitely so you definitely won’t go home hungry.
Since we have already tried their pork cutlets in our last visit, we opted for more seafood this time around. The Mixed Katsu Set @ RM34.90 lets you have a bit of everything – deep fried prawn, pork fillet and white fish.

The DX “Mameton” Set @ RM47.90 comes with a deep fried jumbo prawn, pork loin & pork fillet. The word ‘jumbo’ here really means it and you can see that the prawn is not only longer than a chopstick, the flesh is thick and succulent too.
As with any deep-fried food, dressings are a must. Three kinds of sauces (salty, spicy and tartar) are given by default, and all of them go well with any kind of meat.
But personally, I actually prefer the tartar sauce above all others because of its light and refreshing flavor, while the rest are a tad too savory for me.
