Huawei is now offering an online trade-in service on Vmall.my. According to the company, this is the first time such a service is available in Malaysia, and Huawei is offering up to RM1,496 in trade-in value.
That being said, the trade-in is not offered in cash. Instead, Huawei will give consumers an e-coupon to be used on Vmall.my equivalent to the value of the device that is being traded-in. Essentially, the value of any device that is traded-in through this service will be used to offset any purchases on Vmall.my.
As for which devices are eligible for this online trade-in service, Huawei accepts a slew of smartphones from various manufacturers. These include the Samsung Galaxy Note 5(which is valued at RM1,157 in good condition) and the LG G4, which goes for up to RM713. As for which device has the highest trade-in value, it goes to the iPhone 6 Plus, which is valued at RM1,496 – in good condition, of course.
This online trade-in service is part of Huawei’s green initiative, which aims to urge consumers to be more environmentally friendly. What makes this service particularly interesting is the fact that Huawei will arrange for a pickup of the devices, giving consumers the convenience of not having to personally deliver their devices.
